Secrets of grindea controller7/4/2023 ![]() ![]() To make it a bit more readable, we decided to move the second set of buttons behind the first ones, since that’s how it looks on most controllers – even if this makes the design of the controller graphics itself look a bit less nice. However, if you do have a controller plugged in, you’ll soon be able to see what each of the buttons do, with the help of this new graphic: We’ve already implemented the mechanics for changing the controls on a keyboard, and while we want to add the feature for the controller as well, for now it’ll remain a WIP. Contents 1 Character 1. There are 8 tabs in the menu system, along with a side panel that shows your character, level, gold, and an info-box of what is currently selected in the menu system. Later on I’ll show you what the progress of creating the insides looks like… :)īut first, something about a long awaited addition! We know a lot of you have been asking for an easy way to change the controls, whether you use a keyboard or a controller. Secrets of Grindea uses an in-game menu system to manage most non-combat elements of the game. I changed my controls now and it feels way better but i still need some practice. This week we’ll start with a bonus building added to the flying fortress! This building will replace the island on the right part of the fortress and will, though a quest unlocked after the ghost ship, give you an opportunity to do some more phase shifting (yay)! I would really like you to delete the whole thread but steam wont let me^^ hardware mapping paddles shifts custom stick response inverted y axis inverted x axis stick zone mapping custom stick deadzone trigger zone mapping mouse zone mapping key combo rumble turbo toggle activators shortcuts gyro led adaptive triggers flick stick. When i first started the game i was so confused because i was too blind to find the rebinding in the options because you can only rebin the stuff when you are in the main menu and not while you already loaded your savegame. ![]() Look im not really used to Controls like that, i normally play League of Legends so my main usings are the mouse. I'm really not sure where your frustration is coming from purely by using arrow keys, or maybe I'm just more versatile than i though but to be frank I consider myself among the common gamer so I don't see myself as an outlier. As mentioned before, these issues don't become relevant until you have more skilllpoints than you know what to do with so I'll continue to my default response of "I've never had an issue," but like I said maybe I'm an outlier.or maybe learning to type before middle school really paid off haha.Īll in all, I hope my tips help because it is an awesome game, and I know the myriad of abilities can be daunting to the newcomer, but invest your time in properly setting up your controls and in the end I find most people would actually prefer to use a keyboard for this game. Outside of skillshots and generally active skills, you'll spend the rest of your skillpoints in passive abilities, so if beginners are looking for tips then bind your main skills to C and V, your bow and potions should be on the ASDF row, and passives should be distributed between the aforementied row and the avoidable QWER row. The main reason for this being you should and will put the majority of your skill points into a single skill, and you won't be stritching your fingers too far, for the most part, until you reach around level 25, which takes awhile. That being said, I grew up playing LoL and CSGO, so I don't know if I'm more used to using not only WASD controls but more tailor-made controls like LoL's QWER-DF controls, but I would have to argue the learning curve for the controls IN NO WAY proves complex IMHO. I'm a long time gamepad user among some common titles so you can take my word for it. The game reminds me of the older console games so the controller feels more fluid expecially for using alternative abilities. I'm only responding to this because I feel like the title is still misleading to people looking to get into this game. I use an Xbox One controller and I prefer it over keyboard. ![]()
